Is it me, or is there a new DGAF attitude in semi-popular media that causes characters in deeply life-threatening situations to sort of... boop around for absurd amounts of time doing random chores instead of, say, running away from the incoming threat, or even disarming the known murderous villain who has been temporarily incapacitated not 20 feet from the hero?

@K4_713 It might not even be subconcious. The movie "How It Ends" comes to mind—made during the pandemic.
Reality allowed, but not not encouraged.
